Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using chicken cutlets, pat dry. Cook on stovetop until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 3-5 minutes per side. Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Spread bacon evenly on towel-lined plate. Microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    While bacon crisps, stem and mince thyme.

    Halve potatoes lengthwise; quarter if larger than a ping pong ball.

    Peel apple, quarter, and remove core. Cut into 1/2" slices.

    Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.

    Start the Potatoes, Onions, and Apples

    Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet. Add 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/2 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Massage oil and seasonings into potatoes and push to 1/3 of sheet.

    Place onions and apples in center of sheet. Evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Roast in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    Add the Pork

    Pat pork dry and season all over with 1/2 tsp. salt and thyme.

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove sheet from oven and add pork to empty side of baking sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use caution.

    Roast the Meal

    Roast in hot oven until potatoes, onions, and apples are tender and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 12-14 minutes.

    Pork thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner chop, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Carefully remove from oven. Rest, 3 minutes.

    Stir softened butter into potatoes until melted and combined. Sheet will be hot! Use caution.

    Make Sauce and Finish Dish

    Transfer roasted onions and apples to a microwave-safe bowl. Add chicken base, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup water.

    Stir to combine and cover with a damp paper towel.

    Microwave covered until heated through and sauce thickens, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave and stir.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pork with sauce and crisped bacon. Bon appétit!
