Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Chicken 165° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

Prepare the Ingredients
Mince cilantro (no need to stem).
Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" dice.Stem poblano peppers, seed, and cut into 1/2" dice. Poblano peppers can vary in spice level; most are mild, but a few can be quite hot.Mince chipotle pepper. Wash hands and cutting board after prepping both peppers. -
Cook Peppers and Onions
Heat 2 tsp. olive oil in a large pot over medium-high heat.
Add onion and poblanos to hot pot. Stir occasionally until slightly tender, 5-8 minutes. -
Add the Turkey
Add ground turkey and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pot. Break up turkey until no pink remains, 4-6 minutes.

Add the Pasta
Add tomatoes, chipotle pepper (use less if spice-averse), seasoning blend, 21/2 cups water, and pasta to hot pot.
Cover, and stir occasionally until pasta is tender and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 18-20 minutes.Remove from burner. Stir in sour cream, cheese, and 1/4 tsp. salt until combined. -
Finish the Meal
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with cilantro. Bon appétit!
