Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Prepare the Tofu
Line a plate with a paper towel. Cut tofu into 1" dice and place on towel-lined plate. Top with paper towels, then press gently but firmly to remove excess moisture.
Combine tofu with cornstarch in a mixing bowl. Gently toss until evenly coated. -
2 Cook the Tofu
Line another plate with a paper towel. Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 3 Tbsp. olive oil. Add tofu and a pinch of salt to hot pan and stir occasionally until golden-brown, 6-8 minutes.
Don't rush cooking the tofu; it will need the complete cooking time for the correct crispness.Remove from burner. Transfer tofu to towel-lined plate.While tofu cooks, continue recipe. -
3 Quick-Pickle the Vegetables
Trim cucumber, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/4” half-moons.
In another mixing bowl, combine cucumbers, carrots, vinegar, and a pinch of salt. Set aside, 5 minutes.While vegetables quick-pickle, continue recipe. -
4 Heat Tortillas and Finish Dish
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.
If tortillas come folded, keep folded.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, spreading mayonnaise on tortillas, then topping with quick-pickled vegetables, tofu, garlic sesame sauce, boom boom sauce (to taste), and wonton strips. Bon appétit!
