Cooking Guidelines

If using 16 oz. Italian sausage, follow same instructions as 8 oz. Italian sausage, working in batches if necessary.

If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as Italian sausage in Step 1, breaking up turkey until no pink remains and turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 7-9 minutes.

If using steak strips, spread into a single layer, pat dry, and coarsely chop. Follow same instructions as Italian sausage in Step 1, stirring occasionally until no pink remains and steak strips reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

If using whole chicken breasts, pat dry and, on a clean cutting board, cut into 1” dice. Follow same instructions as Italian sausage in Step 1, stirring occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

1 Cook Sausage and Prepare Zucchini
Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat.Add 1 tsp. olive oil and Italian sausage to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Remove sausage to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat.While sausage cooks, trim zucchini ends, quarter lengthwise, and cut into 1/2" dice. -
2 Cook Zucchini and Make Sauce
Add zucchini to hot pan. Stir often until starting to soften, 2-4 minutes.
Stir in 3 oz. tomato sauce, 1/4 cup water, pesto, and cream cheese. Bring to a simmer.Once simmering, stir occasionally until combined, 1-2 minutes.Stir in pasta and sausage until fully coated. Remove from burner. If sauce is too thick, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.While sauce cooks, make garlic bread. -
3 Make the Garlic Bread
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
While pan heats, if necessary, split ciabatta roll. Spread butter on cut sides.Place ciabatta in hot, dry pan, cut side down. Toast until slightly crispy, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. -
4 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with cheese. Halve garlic bread, if desired. Bon appétit!
