Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes. If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes. If using Impossible burger, break up until burger reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. Add to chili as desired.

Start the Chili
Place a medium pot over medium heat and add 1 Tbsp. olive oil.
Add corn, peppers, chile and cumin rub, and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pot. Stir occasionally until slightly tender and lightly browned, 3-4 minutes. -
Add Tomatoes and Drain Beans
Stir tomatoes, mirepoix base, and 1/2 cup water into hot pot. Bring to a simmer.
While chili comes to a simmer, drain pinto beans and kidney beans in a colander. -
Finish the Chili
Once simmering, add beans to hot pot. Stir occasionally until slightly thickened and mixture darkens, 8-10 minutes.
Remove from burner.Stir in butter until melted and combined. -
Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with cheese and tortilla strips. Bon appétit!
