Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

Prepare the Bell Pepper
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/4" dice.

Cook the Beef
Place a medium pot over medium-high heat.
Add ground beef and taco seasoning to hot, dry pot. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes. -
Add the Broth
Stir flour into hot pot until no dry flour remains.
Add 3 cups water and chicken base. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.Once simmering, add enchilada sauce and stir occasionally until combined, 1-2 minutes. Reduce heat to medium. -
Add the Vegetables
Add bell peppers and corn to hot pot. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir occasionally until vegetables are tender, 8-10 minutes. Remove from burner. -
Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping soup with cheese, sour cream, and tortilla strips. Bon appétit!
