Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim zucchini ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2” half-moons. Zucchini quantity may vary, but total weight will remain the same. Don't worry; recipe instructions are not impacted.

    Pat shrimp dry.

    Crisp the Bacon

    Line a plate with a paper towel.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add bacon to hot pan. Stir occasionally until crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Keep pan over medium heat.

    Cook the Zucchini and Shrimp

    Add zucchini, peas, 1/2 tsp. salt, and 1 tsp. olive oil to hot pan.

    Stir occasionally until zucchini is lightly browned and tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Add shrimp and cook until pink and shrimp reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Add Pasta and Finish Dish

    Add cream base, cream cheese, half the shredded cheese (reserve remaining for garnish), and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Bring to a simmer. Once simmering, stir occasionally until sauce has slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.

    Stir in pasta until coated and heated through.

    Remove from burner. Stir softened butter into pasta until melted and combined.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with crispy bacon and remaining shredded cheese. Bon appétit!
