Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Form the Meatballs

    Spray both provided trays with cooking spray.

    In a mixing bowl, combine 2 Tbsp. water and panko. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground beef, chimichurri seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper to bowl with panko and stir to combine. Form mixture into 16 evenly-sized meatballs.

    Evenly divide meatballs between both prepared trays and top each tray with 1/2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add the Vegetables

    Prick tomatoes with a fork all over. If you receive one whole tomato instead, not to worry; simply core tomato, cut into 1/2" dice, and proceed with recipe instructions.

    Divide tomatoes and pepper and onion mix evenly between both trays.

    Evenly divide 1 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper between both trays.

    Bake Meal and Make Tzatziki Crema

    Wrap flatbreads in foil.

    Bake flatbreads and both trays uncovered in hot oven until flatbreads are heated through, vegetables are tender, and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    While meal bakes, combine sour cream, tzatziki, and a pinch of salt in another mixing bowl. Set aside.

    Carefully remove flatbreads and trays from oven.

    To serve, fill flatbreads with meatballs and vegetables and top with tzatziki crema. Bon appétit!
