Ground meat, marinara sauce, two great cheeses, and those fat lasagna noodles… all baked together into the tomato-y, stretchy casserole that is by definition the classic lasagna we all know and love. Now we wait for the fat orange cartoon cats to steal credit cards and put this in their basket.

Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using Impossible burger, follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 2, breaking up burger until heated through, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground pork, follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 2, breaking up until pork reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using Italian sausage, remove from casing, if necessary. Follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 2, breaking up until sausage reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

Cook Noodles and Prepare Ingredients
Once water is boiling, add noodles and cook until al dente, 6-8 minutes.
Carefully, drain noodles in a colander and set aside. Don't worry if noodles break a bit.While noodles boil, halve and peel onion. Mince one half. Remaining is yours to do with as you please! -
Make the Sauce
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground beef and minced onion to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Stir in marinara sauce, wine, seasoning blend, tomato paste, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Bring to a simmer. Adding alcohol to a hot pan may cause some flames; use caution.Once simmering, remove from burner. -
Assemble the Lasagna
Combine mozzarella and Parmesan in a mixing bowl.
Spread 1/3 the sauce on bottom of prepared casserole dish. For best results, use a 9" by 5" casserole dish. Top evenly with 1/3 the cheese mixture, then three noodles in a single layer.Top noodles with half the remaining sauce, then top evenly with half the remaining cheese mixture. Top with remaining noodles in a single layer.Top noodles with remaining sauce, then remaining cheese mixture.Layers should be: sauce, cheese mixture, noodles, sauce, cheese mixture, noodles, sauce, cheese mixture. -
Bake the Lasagna
Cover casserole dish with foil.
Bake covered in hot oven until cheese is melted and lasagna is bubbling, 30-35 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. Rest, 5 minutes. -
