I literally have hundreds of burger recipes- I wrote a whole book on them after all. This is a new one and it packs some serious flavor with a wink and a nudge to steakhouse flavors. My crispy oven fries are a fan favorite, too.

Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

1 Roast the Fries
Cut potatoes into 1/4" thick fries. Pat dry.
Place fries on prepared baking sheet and spray with cooking spray. Season with garlic salt and a pinch of pepper.Spread into a single layer. Roast in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing fries once halfway through.While fries roast, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare Ingredients and Make Patties
Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.
Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, a pinch of salt and pepper, steak seasoning, and Worcestershire sauce. Form mixture into two patties, about 5" in diameter. -
3 Cook the Onions and Mushrooms
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil, onions, and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir often until golden-brown and tender, 6-8 minutes.
Add mushrooms and stir occasionally until browned and tender, 4-6 minutes.Add mustard and 2 Tbsp. water. Stir occasionally until slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While onions and mushrooms cook, continue recipe. -
4 Toast Buns and Cook Patties
Place another medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat.
Add buns, cut side down, to hot, dry pan. Toast buns until lightly browned, 2-3 minutes.Remove buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat. Add 1 tsp. olive oil and patties to hot pan.Cook until lightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.Remove from burner. Top with cheese. Cover and let melt. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with burger, mushroom-onion mixture, and top bun. Buon appetito!
