Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes. 

  • If using ground turkey, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

    Prepare the Carrots

    Place carrots on prepared baking sheet and top with 1 tsp. olive oil, citrus mojo rub, and half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for meatloaves).

    Massage oil and seasonings into carrots. Spread into an even layer on one half of sheet.

    Add the Meatloaves

    In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground pork, amarillo seasoning, remaining garlic salt, and panko. Form mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.

    Place on empty side of baking sheet and top with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Roast the Meatloaves and Carrots

    Roast in hot oven until carrots are tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 25-30 minutes.

    Carefully remove sheet from oven.

    While carrots and meatloaves roast, continue recipe.

    Make Queso and Finish Dish

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream cheese, 3 Tbsp. water, and half the piri piri seasoning (to taste; remaining is yours to use as you please!).

    Microwave uncovered until cream cheese is melted, 60-90 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Add shredded cheese and microwave again uncovered until shredded cheese is melted, 60-90 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Stir until smooth. If sauce is too thick, add water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    To serve, top meatloaf with queso (to taste). Bon appétit!
