Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Prepare the Ingredients
Trim and thinly slice green onion on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.
Cut mushrooms into 1/4" slices.Line a microwave-safe plate with a paper towel. Spread half the bacon (reserve remaining for next step) on towel-lined plate. Microwave until crisp, 1-2 minutes. -
2 Cook the Beef and Mushrooms
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground beef, remaining bacon, mushrooms, and white portions of green onions to hot pan.Break up meat until no pink remains and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 6-8 minutes. -
3 Cook the Sauce
Add flour and stir until no dry flour remains. Add demi-glace, 1 cup water, garlic salt, 1 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper and stir to combine. Bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir occasionally until reduced by half and mixture is slightly thickened, 5-7 minutes. -
4 Add the Pasta
Add sour cream, pasta, cheese, 1/2 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper and stir until combined and pasta is heated through, 1-2 minutes.
If sauce is too thick, add water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing pasta with reserved crispy bacon and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
