Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

Prepare the Green Onions
Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

Start the Filling
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add ground pork and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
Finish the Filling
Add bacon, corn, white portions of green onions, and taco seasoning to hot pan.
Stir occasionally until bacon is crispy and corn is heated through, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner. -
Assemble the Quesadillas
Place tortillas on a clean, flat work surface.
Divide cheese evenly between tortillas, placing on one half. Top cheese with filling. Wipe pan clean and reserve.Fold tortillas over filling, pressing gently to adhere. -
Cook Quesadillas and Finish Dish
Return pan used to cook filling to medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add quesadillas to hot pan. Working in batches if necessary, cook until golden-brown, 2-4 minutes per side.Replenish oil, if necessary. Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping quesadilla with guacamole (to taste), chipotle crema, and green portions of green onions. Cut quesadilla into triangles, if desired. Bon appétit!
