Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

1 Cook the Chicken
Pat chicken dry and season all over with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. Don't worry about trimming. Excess fat will render while cooking and add flavor.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add chicken to hot pan and stir occasionally until chicken browns and reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes.Add minced garlic and parsley and stir often until fragrant, 30-60 seconds.Transfer to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat. -
2 Cook the Broccoli
Add 2 tsp. olive oil, broccoli, and 1/4 cup water to hot pan.
Cover and cook until water is almost completely evaporated, 2-3 minutes.Uncover and stir occasionally until tender, 2-3 minutes. -
3 Add the Sauce and Pasta
Add cream base, shredded cheese, mirepoix base, softened cream cheese, 1/4 cup water, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir to combine.
Add pasta and chicken and any accumulated juices. Stir until thoroughly combined and heated through, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. -
4 Finish the Dish
