Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

Prepare the Ingredients
Quarter tomatoes.
Stem and tear cilantro.Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.Coarsely chop pickled onions. -
Make the Filling
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add Impossible burger, taco seasoning, and a pinch of salt to hot pan. Break into smaller pieces until no pink remains and Impossible burger reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Remove from burner. -
Assemble the Tacos
Wrap tortillas in a damp paper towel and microwave until warm, 30-60 seconds.
If tortillas come folded, keep folded.Place tortillas on a clean work surface. Poke tortillas with a fork all over, 10 times for each tortilla.Evenly divide filling between tortillas, placing on one half. Fold tortilla over filling and press gently so it holds in place. -
Bake the Tacos
Transfer tacos to prepared baking sheet and spray with cooking spray.
Bake in hot oven until browned and crispy, 10-12 minutes.While tacos bake, continue recipe. -
Make Crema, Make Salsa, and Finish Dish
In a mixing bowl, combine guacamole and sour cream. Set aside.
In another mixing bowl, combine tomatoes, cilantro, pickled onions, 1 tsp. olive oil, 1 Tbsp. lime juice, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Set aside.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping tacos with crema, salsa, and cheese. Squeeze lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
