Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

    Microwave Instructions

    Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Drain pulled pork and separate pieces.

    Combine peppers, minced garlic and parsley, and a pinch of salt in one section of provided tray.

    Cover tray with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until peppers are tender, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from microwave. Add rice, 2 Tbsp. water, and 1/4 tsp. salt to section with peppers. Stir to combine. In empty section, combine pork, tomatoes, cajun seasoning, 1 Tbsp. water, and butter.

    Cover tray with a damp paper towel. Microwave again covered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from microwave. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tsp. water and remoulade.

    To serve, top rice mixture with pork mixture and garnish with remoulade sauce. Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Make sure to use conventional oven setting, not convection. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Drain pulled pork and separate pieces.

    Combine peppers, minced garlic and parsley, and a pinch of salt in one section of provided tray.

    Place tray on a baking sheet. Bake uncovered in hot oven until peppers are tender, 10-12 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Add rice, 2 Tbsp. water, and 1/4 tsp. salt to section with peppers. Stir to combine. In empty section, combine pork, tomatoes, cajun seasoning, 1 Tbsp. water, and butter.

    Cover tray with foil. Place tray on a baking sheet. Bake again covered in hot oven until heated through, 10-12 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. In a mixing bowl, combine 1 tsp. water and remoulade.

    To serve, top rice mixture with pork mixture and garnish with remoulade sauce. Bon appétit!
