Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Microwave Instructions

    Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry. Thoroughly drain potatoes. Line a plate with a paper towel.

    In one section of provided tray, add bacon. In empty section of tray, combine mushrooms and 1 tsp. olive oil. Microwave uncovered until bacon is crisp, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from microwave. Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Add meatballs, chicken base, mustard, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup water to mushroom section. Stir until cornstarch is dissolved. In now-empty section of tray, combine potatoes, cream cheese, butter, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir vigorously to combine. Cream cheese will melt as meal heats.

    Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave again covered until heated through, 3-4 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from microwave. Vigorously stir potatoes until smooth.

    To serve, garnish with bacon. Bon appétit!

    Oven Instructions

    Turn oven on to 375 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Make sure to use conventional oven setting, not convection. Wash hands thoroughly with soap and warm water before cooking, and after handling raw meat. Remove all produce from any packaging or constraints, then thoroughly rinse and pat dry. Thoroughly drain potatoes. Line a plate with a paper towel.

    In one section of provided tray, add bacon. In empty section of tray, combine mushrooms and 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Place tray on a baking sheet. Bake uncovered in hot oven until bacon is crispy, 10-12 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Transfer bacon to towel-lined plate. Add meatballs, chicken base, mustard, cornstarch, and 1/4 cup water to mushroom section. Stir until cornstarch is dissolved.

    In empty section of tray, combine potatoes, cream cheese, butter, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir vigorously to combine. Cream cheese will melt as meal heats.

    Cover with foil. Place tray on a baking sheet. Bake again covered in hot oven until heated through, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove tray from oven. Vigorously stir potatoes until smooth.
