Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Prepare the Zucchini

    Trim zucchini, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2” half-moons. Zucchini quantity may vary, but total weight will remain the same. Don't worry; recipe instructions are not impacted.

    Form the Patties

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, garlic and parsley seasoning, half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for vegetables), 1/4 tsp. salt, panko, and minced garlic and parsley.

    Form mixture into two equally-sized patties, about 5" across.

    Cook the Patties

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add patties to hot pan. Cook until slightly charred and beef reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    While patties cook, continue recipe.

    Cook Vegetables and Finish Dish

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add zucchini, 1/4 tsp. salt, bell peppers, and remaining garlic salt to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are slightly browned and tender, 6-8 minutes.

    Add za'atar seasoning and stir to combine.

    Remove from burner.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping patty with tzatziki. Garnish dish with cheese. Bon appétit!
