Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using 20 oz. steak strips, follow same instructions as 10 oz., working in batches if necessary. You may have leftover filling.

Roast the Potatoes
Quarter potatoes lengthwise and cut into 1/2" wedges.
Place on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, and half the mushroom seasoning (reserve remaining for steak strips). Spread wedges into a single layer.Roast in hot oven until golden-brown and tender, 25-30 minutes, flipping once halfway through.While potatoes roast, continue recipe. -
Prepare the Ingredients
Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.
Pat steak strips dry. Coarsely chop, then separate pieces. -
Toast the Buns
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add buns, cut-side down, to hot pan and toast until browned, 2-3 minutes.Transfer buns to a plate. Keep pan over medium-high heat. -
Cook the Steak Strips
Add 1 tsp. olive oil, white portions of green onions, steak strips, remaining mushroom seasoning, and garlic pepper to hot pan.
Stir occasionally until no pink remains and steak strips reach a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 4-6 minutes.Add mirepoix base and 1 Tbsp. water. Stir occasionally until combined, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner. Rest, 3 minutes.While steak strips cook, continue recipe. -
Make Cheese Sauce and Finish Dish
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-low heat.
Add cream cheese and 1/4 cup water to hot pan. Stir often until cream cheese fully melts, 2-3 minutes.Add shredded cheese, 1 Tbsp. water, and a pinch of salt. Stir constantly until smooth and combined, 2-3 minutes.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with steak strips, cheese sauce, green portions of green onions, and top bun.
