Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Cook the Rice
Bring a small pot with rice, 11/4 cups water, and garlic salt to a boil.
Once boiling, reduce to a simmer, cover, and cook until rice is tender, 15-18 minutes.Remove from burner and set aside.While rice cooks, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Remove stems and seeds and cut bell peppers into 1/4" rings.
Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.Crumble seitan into pea-sized pieces. -
3 Start the Stir-Fry
If desired, pull strings from snow peas.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add bell peppers, white portions of green onions, snow peas, seitan, Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse), and red pepper flakes (use less if spice-averse) to hot pan. Stir occasionally until vegetables are tender and seitan reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 6-8 minutes. -
4 Finish Stir-Fry and Finish Dish
Add sauce (to taste) and 2 Tbsp. water to hot pan. Bring to a simmer, stirring constantly.
Once simmering, remove from burner.Coarsely crush peanuts in shipping bag.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping rice with stir-fry and garnishing with crushed peanuts and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
