You Will Need

- Salt
- 1 Medium Pot
- 1 Microwave-Safe Bowl
- 1 Large Non-Stick Pan
Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
Customize It Instructions

If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

Cook the Pasta
Once water is boiling, add pasta and cook until al dente, 11-13 minutes.
Remove from burner. Reserve 1 cup pasta cooking water. Drain pasta in a colander and set aside.While pasta cooks, continue recipe. -
Prepare Onion and Make Caper Breadcrumbs
Finely chop capers.
Halve and peel onion. Cut halves into 1/4" dice.In a microwave-safe bowl, combine capers, panko, and 2 tsp. olive oil. Microwave uncovered until golden-brown and toasted, 1-2 minutes, stirring once halfway through.Carefully remove from microwave. Set aside. -
Cook the Pork and Onions
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add onions, garlic salt, and ground pork to hot pan. Stir occasionally until onions are tender, breaking up meat until no pink remains, and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
Add the Sauce
Add marinara, garlic and parsley seasoning, and 1/2 cup reserved pasta cooking water to hot pan. Stir to combine, then bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, reduce heat to low and stir occasionally until sauce is slightly thickened, 3-5 minutes.If sauce is too thick, add remaining pasta cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached. -
Add Pasta and Finish Dish
Add pasta to hot pan and stir occasionally until heated through, 2-3 minutes.
Remove from burner. Stir in softened Sicilian sauce (to taste) until melted and combined.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with caper breadcrumbs and cheese. Bon appétit!
