Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, roast until meatballs reach minimum internal temperature, 17-20 minutes.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Break broccoli into bite-sized pieces using hands.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Add Broccoli and Form Meatballs

    Place broccoli on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, half the umami seasoning (reserve remaining for meatballs), and a pinch of salt. Spread into an even layer on one half of baking sheet.

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 3 Tbsp. water. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground turkey, white portions of green onions, remaining umami seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir to combine. Form mixture into 8 equally-sized meatballs and transfer to empty side of baking sheet.

    Roast the Broccoli and Meatballs

    Roast in hot oven until broccoli is tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-18 minutes.

    Carefully remove sheet from oven.

    While broccoli and meatballs roast, continue recipe.

    Heat Rice and Finish Dish

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging. Place rice in a microwave-safe bowl and add mushroom seasoning and 2 tsp. olive oil. Stir to combine.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 2 minutes.

    Fluff rice with a fork.

    To serve, top rice with meatballs and broccoli. Garnish meatballs with boom boom sauce (to taste) and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
