Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil.

If using antibiotic free chicken breasts or chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

If using NY strip steak, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

Add protein to meal as desired.

Cook the Mushrooms
Cut mushrooms into thin slices.
Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.Add mushrooms and a pinch of salt and pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until browned, 3-5 minutes.Add minced garlic and parsley and stir occasionally until fragrant, 30-60 seconds. -
Add the Sauce
Add flour to hot pan and stir until no dry flour remains.
Add cream base, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer. -
Add the Pasta
Once simmering, add pasta to hot pan and stir occasionally until sauce is slightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.
If sauce is too thick, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Stir in softened butter (to taste) until melted and combined. -
Make Garlic Bread and Finish Dish
Separate ciabatta halves.
Evenly top cut-sides of ciabatta with 2 tsp. olive oil, garlic and parsley seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper.Broil under hot broiler until toasted, 1-2 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as ciabatta may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from broiler.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping pasta with cheese. Halve ciabatta, if desired. Bon appétit!
