Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Start the Green Beans

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

    Combine green beans and 1 tsp. olive oil in provided tray. Spread into an even layer and cover with foil.

    Bake covered in hot oven, 15 minutes.

    While green beans bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry and season both sides with garlic pepper.

    In a mixing bowl, combine pesto and cheese. Set aside.

    After 15 minutes, carefully remove green beans from oven and drain any excess liquid. Stir in pot roast seasoning and push green beans to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Place chicken in now-empty side of tray and evenly top with pesto-cheese mixture, pressing gently to adhere.

    Cover green beans side with foil.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake half-covered (green beans covered, chicken uncovered) in hot oven until green beans are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven and drain any excess liquid.

    To serve, stir softened butter into green beans until melted and combined. Bon appétit!
