-
If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Follow same instructions.
-
If using sirloin steaks, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

1 Make the Sweet Potato Mash
Bring a medium pot with sweet potatoes and 2 tsp. salt covered by water to a boil.
Once boiling, cook until fork-tender, 14-18 minutes.Remove from burner. Reserve 1/4 cup potato cooking water. Drain potatoes in a colander/strainer and return to pot.Add cream cheese, butter, and garlic salt. Mash until smooth. If too thick, add reserved potato cooking water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached. While potatoes cook, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Pat chicken dry and season both sides with garlic pepper and a pinch of salt.
In a mixing bowl, combine pesto and shredded cheese. Set aside. -
3 Cook the Chicken
Place a medium oven-safe non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.
Add chicken to hot pan. Cook until browned and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 5-7 minutes per side.Remove from burner. -
4 Broil Chicken and Finish Dish
Evenly top chicken with pesto-cheese mixture.
Broil under hot broiler until cheese is slightly browned, 2-3 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as cheese may burn easily under broiler.Carefully remove from broiler. Pan handle will be hot! Use an oven mitt.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping sweet potato mash with goat cheese and pecans. Bon appétit!
