Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

If using ground beef, roast until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

1 Start the Meatloaves
Coarsely crush crackers.
In a mixing bowl, combine cheese, crackers, onion salt, and ground turkey.Form mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height.Place meatloaves on one side of prepared baking sheet and top with 1 tsp. olive oil.Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.Carefully remove from oven.While meatloaves roast, continue recipe. -
2 Prepare the Ingredients
Trim zucchini ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2” half-moons. Zucchini quantity may vary, but total weight will remain the same. Don't worry; recipe instructions are not impacted.
Trim yellow squash ends, halve lengthwise, and cut into 1/2” half-moons.Peel and halve shallot. Slice thinly. -
3 Add Vegetables and Finish Meatloaves
Place zucchini, yellow squash, 2 tsp. olive oil, and piri piri seasoning (use less if spice-averse) on empty side of baking sheet. Stir to combine and spread into an even layer on their side. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.
Roast in hot oven until vegetables are tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 10-15 minutes.Carefully remove from oven. Stir softened butter into vegetables. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.While vegetables and meatloaves roast, continue recipe. -
4 Start the Gravy
Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add shallots and a pinch of pepper to hot pan. Stir occasionally until browned, 4-6 minutes. -
5 Finish Gravy and Finish Dish
Add cream base to hot pan. Stir to combine and bring to a simmer.
Once simmering, stir occasionally until sauce is slightly thickened, 2-3 minutes.If too thick, add water, 1 tsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping meatloaf with gravy. Bon appétit!
