Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using 20 oz. ground turkey, follow same instructions as 10 oz., working in batches if necessary. 

  • If using ground beef or Impossible burger, break up until protein reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Quarter mushrooms.

    Peel and mince shallot.

    Mince chives.

    Thinly slice garlic.

    Cook the Turkey and Vegetables

    Place a medium pot over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add ground turkey, garlic, shallots, mushrooms, and pot roast seasoning to hot pot. Break up meat until vegetables are tender and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 7-9 minutes.

    Start the Soup

    Stir flour into hot pot until no dry flour remains.

    Add chicken base and 1 1/2 cups water. Stir constantly and bring to a simmer.

    Finish the Soup

    Once simmering, reduce heat to low.

    Stir cream base and cream cheese into hot pot until combined. Return to a simmer.

    Once simmering, stir occasionally until soup slightly thickens, 6-8 minutes.

    Remove from burner and stir in a pinch of salt and pepper.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping soup with chives and shredded cheese. Bon appétit!
