Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

1 Prepare Ingredients and Make Sauce
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/4" slices.
Trim and thinly slice green onions.Mince garlic.In a mixing bowl, combine ponzu, sweet and sour sauce, cornstarch, and a pinch of salt. Set aside. -
2 Cook the Pork
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.
Add pork and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes. -
3 Add the Vegetables and Sauce
Add bell pepper to hot pan and stir occasionally until tender, 4-6 minutes.
Add garlic, slaw mix, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Stir often until vegetables are softened, 2-3 minutes.Add sauce and stir occasionally until heated through and lightly thickened, 1-2 minutes.Remove from burner.While pork mixture cooks, continue recipe. -
4 Heat the Rice
In a large microwave-safe bowl, combine rice, 2 cups water, and 1/2 tsp. salt. Leave at least 3” of room on top to prevent overboil. Microwave uncovered, 4 minutes.
Carefully remove rice from microwave and stir. Microwave again uncovered until water is absorbed, 2-3 minutes.Carefully remove rice from microwave. Rest, 3 minutes. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing pork mixture with green onions and wonton strips. Bon appétit!
