Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

Start the Butternut Squash
In provided tray, combine butternut squash, 2 tsp. olive oil, garlic and parsley seasoning, and a pinch of salt. Massage oil and seasonings into butternut squash. Spread into an even layer.
Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.While butternut squash bakes, continue recipe. -
Add the Couscous and Chicken
Pat chicken dry and season both sides with piri piri seasoning (use less if spice-averse).
After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Add couscous and chicken base. Stir until combined and push mixture to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.Place chicken in now-empty side of tray and evenly top with 1 tsp. olive oil.Cover couscous side with foil. -
Bake the Meal
Bake half-covered (couscous covered, chicken uncovered) in hot oven until butternut squash is tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
Carefully remove from oven. Uncover couscous and stir in softened tomato feta sauce.To serve, top chicken with tzatziki and garnish couscous mixture with almonds and cheese. Bon appétit!
