Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

1 Prepare the Meatballs and Potatoes
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry.
In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 1/4 cup water. Let sit, 60 seconds.Add ground beef, garlic salt, Italian seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. pepper to bowl with panko. Mix to combine and form into 16 evenly-sized meatballs.Place meatballs in one provided tray.Drain potatoes.In second provided tray, combine potatoes, peppers, 3 tsp. olive oil, garlic pepper, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Spread into an even layer. -
2 Bake the Meal
Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven, 13 minutes.
Carefully remove meatball tray from oven and drain excess grease from tray. Add marinara and cover with foil.Bake again (meatballs covered, potatoes uncovered) in hot oven until potatoes are lightly browned and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 10-15 minutes.While meatballs and potatoes bake, continue recipe. -
3 Toast the Rolls
Open rolls, leaving seams intact. Place directly on oven rack and bake until warm and lightly toasted, 3-5 minutes.
Carefully remove rolls and trays from oven.To serve, fill rolls with meatballs, extra sauce from tray, and cheese. Bon appétit!
