Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

    Start the Brussels Sprouts

    Spray provided tray with cooking spray.

    Halve any large Brussels sprouts to roughly match smaller sprouts.

    Place Brussels sprouts in prepared tray and combine with 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer, cut-side down.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until Brussels sprouts are bright green, 10-12 minutes.

    While Brussels sprouts bake, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatloaves

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground beef, panko, ricotta, savory seasoning, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Form meat mixture into two equally-sized, oval-shaped loaves, about 3" in length and 2" by height. Gently flatten tops of meatloaves.

    After 10-12 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Push Brussels sprouts to one side of tray. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Place meatloaves in now-empty side of tray and evenly top with bacon, pressing gently to adhere.

    Cover Brussels sprouts side of tray with foil.

    Bake Meal and Make Sauce

    Bake half covered (Brussels sprouts covered, meatloaves uncovered) in hot oven until Brussels sprouts are tender and meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While meal bakes, in another mixing bowl, combine ketchup and half the maple syrup (remaining is yours to use as you please).

    Carefully remove tray from oven and top Brussels sprouts with shredded cheese.

    To serve, top meatloaves with sauce. Bon appétit!
