Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Sauce

    Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.

    Evenly divide flour, marinara, cream cheese, Italian seasoning, garlic salt, 3/4 cup water, and a pinch of salt and pepper between both provided trays. Stir to combine. Cream cheese will melt as meal bakes.

    Top both trays evenly with spinach. Break up sausage into bite-size pieces and top spinach in an even layer.

    Cover both trays with foil. Bake covered in hot oven until sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-22 minutes.

    Add the Pasta and Cheese

    Carefully remove both trays from oven. Uncover and stir until combined and creamy. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Evenly divide pasta and Parmesan (reserving 2 Tbsp. for garnish) between both trays. Stir to combine.

    Top each tray evenly with mozzarella.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake both trays again uncovered in hot oven until cheese has melted and pasta is warmed through, 5-7 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    To serve, top each tray evenly with remaining Parmesan. Bon appétit!
