Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |

- Ground Turkey 165° F |

1 Start the Vegetables
Turn oven on to 425 degrees. Let preheat, at least 10 minutes. Thoroughly rinse any fresh produce and pat dry. Spray provided tray with cooking spray.
Add broccoli and pepper and onion mix to prepared provided tray. Spread into an even layer. Top evenly with garlic salt and 2 tsp. olive oil. Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.While vegetables bake, continue recipe. -
2 Add the Chicken
In a mixing bowl, combine pesto (to taste) and BBQ sauce.
Pat chicken dry.After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven. Push vegetables to one side. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil. Add chicken to now-empty side. Top chicken with BBQ sauce mixture (use less if spice-averse). Cover vegetable-side of tray with foil. -
3 Bake the Meal
Bake half-covered (vegetables covered, chicken uncovered) in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.
While meal bakes, in another mixing bowl, thoroughly combine sour cream, a pinch of salt, and 1 tsp. water.Carefully remove from oven.To serve, top vegetables with crema and cheese. Bon appétit!
