Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground pork, cook until patties reach minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

  • If using Impossible burger, cook until patties reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Ingredients

Cut potatoes into 1/4"-thick fries and pat dry.

    Stem and mince rosemary.

    Halve garlic.

Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.

  2. 2

    Roast the Fries and Garlic

Place fries on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and 2 tsp. rosemary (add more to taste, if desired). Spread into a single layer.

Place garlic on a piece of foil and top with 1 tsp. olive oil. Form a foil pouch around garlic. Place foil pouch, opening-side up, in an empty spot on baking sheet.

Roast garlic in hot oven until tender, 15-20 minutes.

Roast fries in hot oven until lightly browned, 25-30 minutes, tossing once halfway through.

Carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Rest fries, 5 minutes.

Add Parmesan to fries and gently toss to combine.

While fries and garlic roast, continue recipe.

  3. 3

Cook Onions and Make Roasted Garlic Mayonnaise

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

Add onions to hot pan and stir occasionally until browned, 10-12 minutes.

If pan becomes dry, add water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, as needed.

    Remove from burner.

While onions cook, add roasted garlic to a mixing bowl. Add mayonnaise and mash until combined and smooth. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Prepare the Patties

Evenly spread coarse black pepper on a plate.

Form ground beef into four equally-sized patties, about 1/3"-thick and 4" in diameter.

Divide cheddar between two patties. Place remaining patties on top of cheese-topped patties and seal edges by pinching lightly. A tight seal helps cheese stay in burger while cooking.

Carefully transfer patties to plate with coarse black pepper, flipping and pressing gently to adhere to both sides. Season each burger with 1/4 tsp. salt.

  5. 5

Cook Burgers, Toast Buns, and Finish Dish

Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add patties to hot pan and cook until burgers reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes per side.

Remove from burner. Transfer burgers to a plate. Rest, 5 minutes.

While burgers rest, wipe pan clean and return pan used to cook burgers to medium-high heat. Place buns in hot, dry pan, cut-side down. Toast until golden-brown, 1-2 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom bun with patty, onions, roasted garlic mayonnaise, and top bun. Bon appétit!
