Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • Meatlovers! If using protein, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. 

  • If using diced chicken breasts, pat dry. Stir occasionally until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes.

  • If using Impossible burger, break up until protein reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • If using shrimp, pat dry. Cook until pink and shrimp reach minimum internal temperature, 2-3 minutes per side.

  • If using steak strips, pat dry, coarsely chop, then separate pieces. Stir occasionally until steak reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes. Rest, 3 minutes.

  • Add protein to meal as desired.

    Start the Vegetables

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add mushrooms to hot pan and stir occasionally until browned, 4-6 minutes.

    Add a pinch of salt and stir to combine.

    Remove from burner. Transfer to a plate. Reserve pan; no need to wipe clean.

    While mushrooms cook, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Remove any discolored outer leaves from bok choy and trim ends. Cut stems into 1/2" slices and coarsely chop leaves. Keep stems and leaves separate.

    Trim and slice white portions of green onions into 1" pieces. Thinly slice remaining green portions of green onions on an angle. Keep white and green portions separate.

    Finish the Vegetables

    Return pan used to cook mushrooms to medium heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil.

    Add bok choy stems, white portions of green onions, half the green portions of green onions (reserve remaining for garnish), carrots, 1/4 tsp. salt, a pinch of pepper, and half the Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (to taste; reserve remaining for sauce) to hot pan. Stir often until tender, 5-7 minutes.

    Add Sauce and Noodles and Finish Dish

    Add minced garlic and chili pepper (to taste) to hot pan and stir occasionally until fragrant, 30-60 seconds.

    Add 1/4 cup water and remaining Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (to taste). Bring to a simmer.

    Once simmering, add bok choy leaves, noodles, mushrooms, and garlic sesame sauce. Stir until combined and heated through, 30-60 seconds.

    If sauce is too thick, add additional water, 1 Tbsp. at a time, until desired consistency is reached.

    Remove from burner. Coarsely crush peanuts in shipping bag.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing with sesame seeds, peanuts, and remaining green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
