Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Sausage

    Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary.

    Evenly divide sausage between both provided trays, breaking up into bite-sized pieces. Evenly top both trays with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until sausage is browned, 10 minutes.

    Sausage will finish cooking in a later step.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    Add the Sauce and Pasta

    Evenly divide marinara, chicken base, peas, garlic and parsley seasoning, pasta, 2 Tbsp. water, 1/4 tsp. salt, 1/4 tsp. pepper, and half the cheese (reserve remaining for garnish) between both trays. Stir to combine. Trays will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Evenly divide butter (use less if spice-averse) between both trays.

    Cover both trays with foil.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake both trays covered in hot oven until pasta is heated through and sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 13-18 minutes.

    Carefully remove trays from oven. Uncover and stir.

    To serve, top pasta with remaining cheese. Bon appétit!
