Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Meal

    Tear spinach leaves.

    Place mashed potatoes, spinach, and 1/3 the garlic salt (reserve remaining for meatloaves) in one provided tray. Vigorously stir to combine and cover with foil.

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground turkey, panko, Parmesan, Italian seasoning, remaining garlic salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Form mixture into four evenly-sized, oval-shaped loaves. Place meatloaves in second provided tray.

    Bake mashed potatoes covered in hot oven until heated though, 20-25 minutes.

    Bake meatloaves uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    Meatloaves will finish cooking in a later step.

    Top the Meatloaves

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove meatloaves from oven. Keep mashed potatoes in oven.

    Evenly top with marinara, then Italian cheese blend.

    Finish the Meal

    Bake again uncovered in hot oven until meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 10-15 minutes.

    Carefully remove both trays from oven.

    Add cream cheese to mashed potatoes and stir vigorously until combined.

    To serve, slice meatloaf, if desired. Bon appétit!
