Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using 20 oz. ground beef, follow same instructions as 10 oz. ground beef, forming mixture into four evenly-sized loaves.

  • If using ground pork, follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 1, baking until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 20-25 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, follow same instructions as ground beef in Step 1, baking until loaves reach minimum internal temperature, 25-30 minutes.

    Bake the Meatloaves

    In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground beef, panko, taco seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Form into two evenly-sized loaves.

    Place loaves on prepared baking sheet. Bake in hot oven until meatloaves reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 18-20 minutes.

    Carefully remove baking sheet from oven and top loaves with cheese. Bake again in hot oven until cheese is melted, 2-4 minutes.

    While meatloaves bake, continue recipe.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Hold romaine heart at root end and chop coarsely.

    Core tomato and cut into 1/2" dice.

    Halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.

    Coarsely chop cilantro (no need to stem).

    Make the Salsa

    Place corn in a microwave-safe bowl. Microwave until heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Rest, 5 minutes.

    After 5 minutes, add tomatoes, cilantro, 2 tsp. lime juice, 1 tsp. olive oil, and a pinch of salt to bowl with corn and stir to combine. Set aside.

    Assemble the Salad

    In another mixing bowl, combine romaine, chipotle crema, and a pinch of salt.

    Top salad with salsa.

    Finish the Dish

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, slicing meatloaf, if desired, and squeezing lime wedges over to taste. Bon appétit!
