Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Ground Turkey 165° F |

    Form the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine panko and 1/4 cup water. Let sit, 1 minute.

    After 1 minute, add ground beef, taco seasoning, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Form mixture into 12 equally-sized meatballs.

    Place meatballs in one provided tray.

    Prepare the Rice

    Carefully massage rice in bag to break up any clumps. Remove rice from packaging.

    Place rice, cream base, corn, fiesta seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 2 Tbsp. water in second provided tray. Stir to combine.

    Bake the Meal

    Bake both trays uncovered in hot oven until rice is heated through and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While meal bakes, halve lime. Cut one half into wedges and juice the other half.

    Carefully remove trays from oven. Stir 2 tsp. lime juice and a pinch of salt and pepper into rice until combined. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    To serve, top meatballs with salsa (to taste) and cheese. Squeeze lime wedges all over to taste. Bon appétit!
