Chinese takeout might be as speedy as these wraps, but you'll be missing the great flavors: garlic, ginger, sweet, and sour all melding together with mouthwatering ground pork. Not only do they come together as quickly as any fast food, but they're calorie-conscious and carb-conscious, too. Healthy, fast, and delicious? Goodbye, takeout. Tip: Don't fill up each cup too much, or they'll fall apart and you'll just have a delicious mess.

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, break up until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes.

  • If using ground turkey, break up until turkey reaches minimum internal temperature, 6-8 minutes.

  • If using Impossible burger, break up until burger reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 4-6 minutes.

  1. 1

    Prepare the Lettuce

Separate leaves of lettuce for cups. To re-crisp lettuce cups, soak in icy, cold water, 5 minutes. Thoroughly dry. Lettuce cups are a delicious but messy meal. For this recipe, they can easily be converted to a salad. Simply chop lettuce and top with filling after completing steps.

  2. 2

    Cook the Filling

Place a medium non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

Add ground pork, bell peppers, Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse), and 1/4 tsp. salt to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While filling cooks, continue recipe.

  3. 3

    Make the Slaw

In a mixing bowl, combine slaw mix, sweet chili sauce, and 1/4 tsp. salt. Set aside.

  4. 4

    Assemble Wraps and Finish Dish

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, filling lettuce cups with filling and slaw and garnishing with crispy rice noodles. Layer two lettuce leaves for extra crunch and structural support, if desired. You should have about 5-6 cups total. Bon appétit!
