Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

    Start the Broccoli

    Place broccoli, a pinch of salt and pepper, 2 tsp. olive oil, sesame oil, and miso base in provided tray. Massage oil and seasonings into broccoli. Spread into an even layer.

    Bake uncovered in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    While broccoli bakes, continue recipe.

    Add the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, combine ground pork, panko, Asian garlic, ginger & chile seasoning (use less if spice-averse), and garlic salt. Form mixture into 8 equally-sized meatballs.

    After 10 minutes, carefully remove tray from oven and push broccoli to one side. Tray will be hot! Use a utensil.

    Place meatballs in now-empty side of tray.

    Bake Meal and Heat Sauce

    Bake uncovered in hot oven until broccoli is tender and meatballs reach a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    While meal bakes, place sweet and sour sauce in a microwave-safe bowl.

    Microwave uncovered until heated through, 30-60 seconds.

    Carefully remove sauce from microwave and tray from oven.

    To serve, top meatballs with sauce. Garnish all over with sesame seeds. Bon appétit!
