- 1 Baking Sheet
- 1 Large Non-Stick Pan
- 1 Mixing Bowl
- 1 Plate
- 1 Peeler
- 1 Colander/Strainer

Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F

If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 3-4 minutes per side.

If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

1 Prepare Ingredients and Make Pesto Butter
Peel, trim, and cut carrot into 1/4" slices on an angle.
In a mixing bowl, combine pesto and half the softened butter (reserve remaining for orzo). Set aside.If butter is too hard to combine with pesto, microwave 5 seconds at a time until soft.Pat steaks dry and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper. -
2 Roast the Carrots
Place carrots on prepared baking sheet and toss with 2 tsp. olive oil, garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper. Spread into a single layer.
Roast in hot oven until tender, 15-17 minutes.While carrots roast, continue recipe. -
3 Cook the Steaks
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add steaks to hot pan. Cook until steaks reach desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well.
Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner. Remove from burner. Transfer steaks to a plate. Rest, 3 minutes.While steaks cook, continue recipe. -
4 Cook the Orzo
Once water is boiling in medium pot, add orzo and cook until al dente, 4-6 minutes.
Remove from burner. Drain orzo in a colander/strainer and return to pot.Stir in remaining softened butter, cheese, garlic pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper until combined. -
5 Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping steak with pesto butter. Bon appétit!
