Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken breasts, cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Vegetables

    Trim and thinly slice green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

    Place carrots and white portions of green onions on prepared baking sheet. Top with 2 tsp. olive oil, half the za'atar seasoning (reserve remaining for garnish), and 1/4 tsp. salt. Massage oil and seasoning into vegetables. Spread into an even layer on one side of baking sheet.

    Prepare the Chicken

    Pat chicken dry and season both sides with buttermilk-dill seasoning and a pinch of salt.

    Place chicken on empty side of prepared baking sheet and top with 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Roast the Vegetables and Chicken

    Roast in hot oven until carrots are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 20-25 minutes.

    Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Carefully remove from oven.

    While vegetables and chicken roast, continue recipe.

    Make Sauce and Finish Dish

    In a mixing bowl, combine hummus, lemon juice, a pinch of salt, and 1 tsp. water. Set aside.

    To serve, top chicken with tzatziki and garnish carrots with sauce, remaining za'atar seasoning, and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
