Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F
  1. 1

    Start the Potatoes

    Cut potatoes into 1" dice.

Place potatoes on prepared baking sheet. Top with 2 tsp. olive oil, 1/4 the onion salt (reserve remaining for chicken), and a pinch of pepper. Massage oil and seasonings into potatoes. Spread into a single layer.

Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.

    While potatoes roast, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Stem and tear dill.

Trim and thinly slice green portions of green onions on an angle. Coarsely chop white portions of green onions, keeping white and green portions separate.

In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, mayonnaise, and white portions of green onions. Set aside.

Pat chicken dry and season both sides with 1/4 the remaining onion salt (remaining is yours to use as you please!) and a pinch of pepper.

  3. 3

    Add the Chicken

After 10 minutes, carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Push potatoes to one side of sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

Place chicken on now-empty side of sheet. Evenly top with cream cheese mixture, then bacon, pressing gently to adhere. Sheet will be hot! Use caution.

  4. 4

Finish Potatoes and Chicken, Make Mustard Butter, and Finish Dish

Roast in hot oven until potatoes are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

While meal roasts, in another mixing bowl, combine mustard (to taste) and softened butter. Set aside.

Carefully remove sheet from oven. Stir mustard butter and dill into potatoes until combined. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

To serve, top chicken with green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
