Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using ground beef, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until beef reaches minimum internal temperature, 10-12 minutes. 

  • If using Italian sausage, add meatballs to hot pan and cook until sausage reaches minimum internal temperature, 16-18 minutes.

    Form the Meatballs

    In a mixing bowl, thoroughly combine ground turkey, panko, garlic and parsley seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, potato spice seasoning, and a pinch of pepper. Form mixture into 10 equally-sized meatballs.

    Cook the Meatballs

    Place a medium non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add meatballs to hot pan. Cover and roll occasionally until browned all over and turkey reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 11-13 minutes.

    Remove from burner.

    While meatballs cook, continue recipe.

    Cook the Green Beans

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Add green beans to hot pan and cook, 1 minute.

    Add 1/4 cup water, 1/4 tsp. salt, and a pinch of pepper. Cover, and cook until tender, 6-8 minutes.

    If green beans need more time, add 2 Tbsp. water, cover and stir occasionally, 1-3 minutes.

    Remove from burner. Stir in butter until melted and combined.

    While green beans cook, continue recipe.

    Make Sauce and Finish Dish

    In a microwave-safe bowl, combine cream cheese, pesto, 2 Tbsp. water, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until cream cheese is softened, 30-60 seconds.

    Carefully remove from microwave. Stir to combine. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave again covered until bubbling and heated through, 1-2 minutes.

    Carefully remove from microwave.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing meatballs with sauce and feta. Bon appétit!
