Before You Cook

Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken, pat dry. Cook until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using filets mignon, pat dry. Cook until steak reaches desired doneness, or 4-6 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  • If using salmon, pat dry. Add salmon, skin-side up first, and cook until salmon reaches minimum internal temperature, 4-6 minutes per side.

    Prepare the Ingredients

    Trim green beans, if necessary.

    Core tomato and cut into 1/4" dice.

    Trim and thinly slice green onions.

    Place whole garlic cloves and 1 tsp. olive oil on a piece of foil and form a foil pouch around garlic.

    Pat trout dry and season flesh side with 1/4 tsp. salt and a pinch of pepper.

    Roast the Green Beans and Garlic

    Place green beans on prepared baking sheet and toss with 1 tsp. olive oil, garlic and parsley seasoning, 1/4 tsp. salt, and 1/4 tsp. pepper. Spread into an even layer.

    Place garlic pouch in a corner of baking sheet.

    Roast in hot oven until green beans are tender and garlic is golden-brown, 15-18 minutes.

    Carefully remove from oven. Remove garlic pouch from sheet and set aside to cool. Stir softened butter into green beans until combined.

    While green beans and garlic roast, continue recipe.

    Cook the Trout

    Place a large non-stick pan over medium heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil.

    Add trout, skin-side up, to hot pan. Cook until trout reaches a minimum internal temperature of 145 degrees, 2-3 minutes per side.

    Remove from burner.

    While trout cooks, continue recipe.

    Make the Bruschetta

    In a mixing bowl, combine half the chimichurri seasoning (reserve remaining for sauce), tomatoes, and green onions. Set aside.

    Make Sauce and Finish Dish

    Once cool enough to handle, place roasted garlic in another mixing bowl. Mash into a paste with a fork.

    Add remaining chimichurri seasoning, half the red pepper flakes (to taste; remaining are yours to use as you please!), 1 Tbsp. olive oil, and 2 tsp. water. Stir to combine and set aside.

    Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping trout with sauce (to taste). Garnish green beans with bruschetta. Bon appétit!
