Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Prepare the Ingredients
Stem mushrooms and cut caps into 1/4” slices.
Trim and thinly slice green onions on an angle, keeping white and green portions separate. -
Cook the Filling
Place a large non-stick pan over medium-high heat and add 1 tsp. olive oil. Add white portions of green onions and ground pork to hot pan. Break up meat until no pink remains and pork reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 5-7 minutes.
Add mushrooms, 1/4 cup water, demi-glace, garlic salt, and half the cream base (reserve remaining for sauce). Stir occasionally until mushrooms are tender, 3-4 minutes.Remove from burner. Transfer filling to a plate. Wipe pan clean and reserve. -
Make the Flautas
Place tortillas on a clean work surface.
Divide filling equally among tortillas, placing on one side.Tuck one tortilla end under filling and roll tightly, placing seam-side down on prepared baking sheet. Brush tops of flautas with 1 Tbsp. olive oil.Place baking sheet under hot broiler. Broil until flautas have crisped, 4-5 minutes.Don't text and broil! Keep an eye on oven as tortillas may burn easily.Carefully remove from broiler. -
Make Cheese Sauce and Finish Dish
Return pan used to cook filling to medium heat. Add remaining cream base, cheese, and 1 Tbsp. water to hot pan. Stir until cheese is melted and combined, 1-2 minutes.
Remove from burner.Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping flautas with cheese sauce and green portions of green onions. Bon appétit!
