Before You Cook
Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |

Prepare the Ingredients
Halve potatoes lengthwise.
Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell pepper into 1/2" strips.Halve and peel onion. Slice halves into thin strips.Mince garlic.Remove Italian sausage from casing, if necessary. -
Assemble the Sausage and Vegetables
Place Italian sausage on one side of prepared baking sheet and spread into an even layer.
Place potatoes on empty side of baking sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, garlic pepper, and a pinch of salt and pepper. Push to one corner of sheet, spreading into a single layer.Combine bell peppers and onions on empty space of sheet and toss with 1 Tbsp. olive oil. Spread into an even layer on their side. -
Roast Dish and Toast Rolls
Roast in hot oven, 22 minutes.
Carefully remove baking sheet from oven and carefully add rolls, cut-side up. Top bottom rolls with cheese. (Halve cheese first, if desired.) Baking sheet will be hot! Use caution.Roast again in hot oven until cheese is melted, rolls are lightly browned, vegetables are tender, and Italian sausage reaches a minimum internal temperature of 160 degrees, 3-5 minutes.While dish roasts, continue recipe. -
Heat the Sauce
Combine marinara and garlic in a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a paper towel. Microwave covered until heated through, 2-3 minutes.

Finish the Dish
Plate dish as pictured on front of card, topping bottom roll with peppers and onions, Italian sausage, sauce, and top roll. Bon appétit!
