Cooking Guidelines
To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:
- Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
- Seafood 145° F |
- Chicken 165° F |
- Ground Beef 160° F |
- Ground Turkey 165° F |
- Ground Pork 160° F
-
1 Prepare Tomatoes and Cheese Filling
Core tomatoes and cut into 1/2" dice.
In a mixing bowl, combine softened cream cheese, shredded cheese, and pesto. Set aside. -
2 Par-Cook the Green Beans
Add green beans to a microwave-safe bowl. Cover with a damp paper towel. Microwave covered until bright green and slightly tender, 5-6 minutes.
-
3 Stuff the Chicken
Pat chicken dry. Lay chicken on a cutting board. Hold knife blade parallel to the board and carefully make a lengthwise cut through the center of the meat, using your free hand to steady meat. Stop short of opposite edge of chicken so it remains in one piece. Open meat as you would a book.
Divide cheese filling evenly between chicken breasts, placing in center. Fold chicken in half over filling, pressing gently to adhere. -
4 Crust the Chicken
Place chicken on one side of prepared baking sheet. Top with mayonnaise in an even layer. Season with half the garlic salt (reserve remaining for vegetables).
Evenly top chicken with panko, pressing gently to adhere. -
5 Roast Chicken and Vegetables and Finish Dish
Add tomatoes and par-cooked green beans to empty side of baking sheet. Top vegetables with 1 Tbsp. olive oil, remaining garlic salt, and a pinch of pepper.
Roast in hot oven until chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.Carefully remove from oven. Add butter to vegetables and gently stir until coated. Baking sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.Plate dish as pictured on front of card. Bon appétit!
