Cooking Guidelines

To ensure food safety, the FDA recommends the following as minimum internal cooking temperatures:

  • Steak and Pork 145° F (rest cooked meat, 3 minutes) |
  • Seafood 145° F |
  • Chicken 165° F |
  • Ground Beef 160° F |
  • Ground Turkey 165° F |
  • Ground Pork 160° F

Customize It Instructions

  • If using antibiotic free chicken breasts, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil until chicken reaches minimum internal temperature, 5-7 minutes per side.

  • If using top round steak, pat dry. Cook in a medium non-stick pan over medium heat with 1 tsp. olive oil until steak reaches desired doneness, or 3-5 minutes per side for medium/medium-well. Rest, 3 minutes. Steak thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner steak, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

  1. 1

    Start the Butternut Squash

Halve any large butternut squash pieces to roughly match smaller pieces.

Place butternut squash on prepared baking sheet and add 2 tsp. olive oil. Massage oil into butternut squash and spread into a single layer.

Roast in hot oven, 10 minutes.

While butternut squash roasts, continue recipe.

  2. 2

    Prepare the Ingredients

Remove stem, seeds, and ribs, and cut bell peppers into 1" dice.

Finely crush potato sticks. In a mixing bowl, combine crushed potato sticks, cheese, and 1 tsp. olive oil. Set aside.

Trim and thinly slice green onions.

  3. 3

    Add the Bell Peppers

After 10 minutes, carefully remove baking sheet from oven. Add bell peppers, fiesta seasoning, and garlic salt to butternut squash. Stir to combine and push to one side of baking sheet. Sheet will be hot! Use a utensil.

  4. 4

    Add the Chicken

Pat chicken dry and season both sides with 1/4 tsp. salt and 1/4 tsp. pepper.

Place chicken on empty side of baking sheet and evenly top with mayonnaise, then potato stick-cheese mixture, pressing firmly to adhere. Sheet will be hot! Use caution.

  5. 5

Roast Vegetables and Chicken and Finish Dish

Roast in hot oven until vegetables are tender and chicken reaches a minimum internal temperature of 165 degrees, 15-20 minutes.

Cutlet thickness can vary; if you receive a thinner cutlet, we recommend checking for doneness sooner.

    Carefully remove from oven.

Plate dish as pictured on front of card, garnishing chicken with sour cream and green onions. Bon appétit!
